Flame-sterilize in 70% ethanol using a spirit lamp or flame bead sterilizer between transfers; cool briefly in sterile medium or on a sterile surface before touching tissue to prevent heat damage. High-grade stainless steel (300-series) resists rust and withstands repeated autoclaving. Keep two or three pairs in rotation during busy transfer sessions.
